Katie graduated from ICT Northumberland College in 2004 and has been actively involved in massage therapy, health, and fitness since then.

She holds many certifications for massage therapy, including deep tissue, myofascial release, cupping, as well as special training to assist clients living with cancer.

She is a member of the Nova Scotia Fitness Association as a group fitness leader and hopes to pursue certification in personal training. As a certified Bellyfit instructor Katie has taught women’s fitness classes since 2013.

Melissa is originally from Newfoundland and completed her massage therapy education at the Alberta College of Massage Therapy.

She has taken continuing education courses in fascial massage, cupping, and sports massage. Melissa is excited to continue to add modalities such as hot stone massage to her treatment plans.

Dr. Ainsley McCoul is originally from Shortts Lake, Nova Scotia. She graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida, with her Doctor of Chiropractic, summa cum laude. Prior to that she earned her Bachelor of Science from Dalhousie University.

Dr. Ainsley treats clients of all ages and loves working with clients who are motivated to live a wellness lifestyle and prioritize their health. She is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.

Dr. Michael McCoul grew up in Shubenacadie, NS and attended Dalhousie University in Halifax, where he received a Bachelor of Chemistry degree in 1996. Upon completion, he then moved to Toronto to complete his Doctorate in Chiropractic at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. He graduated in 2000 and returned to his hometown in Nova Scotia to build his practice.

On a personal note, he now makes his home in Shortts Lake, NS, and enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors as much as possible, whether it’s gardening, beekeeping, or hiking in the woods.

Jeff Rooney attended Western University and graduated from the Physiotherapy program in 1996. Jeff’s roots are in a small farming community in Southern Ontario and he has lived in Nova Scotia since 1999.

Jeff has always enjoyed his time helping clients recover from various injuries. Listening to the client and utilizing an integrated health approach have been the keys to Jeff’s success in helping people improve.

Jeff also has extensive knowledge and experience in the operations of the health care business. He has owned and/or managed over 20 clinics in Atlantic Canada. Carol Ann Sweeney graduated from The University of Guelph in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics. This degree provided her with the knowledge to pursue her certification as Pedorthic Technician in 2002 and a Canadian Certified Pedorthist in 2007. A Pedorthist is trained in the assessment, design, manufacture, fit and modification of foot appliances and footwear. The objective is to alleviate pain and provide assistance for abnormalities or limited actions of the lower limb. She has worked for numerous orthotic companies across Canada and in the province.

Carol Ann is the owner of Fit Right Orthotics which has a manufacturing lab in Porters Lake, Nova Scotia. All orthotics are manufactured and adjusted locally which enables Carol Ann to have full control of the custom orthotic process, guaranteeing a superb product.

Carol Ann prides herself on her outstanding customer service and looks forward to providing services at our numerous clinics we have partnered with. Kelly is a Registered Massage Therapist who grew up in Stellarton, Nova Scotia, and graduated from Northumberland College in 2002. Her career has taken her across Europe and the Caribbean, where she has continued to refine her skills and expand her approach to therapeutic massage.

Emma graduated from Dalhousie University in 2016 with her Masters in Physiotherapy. She previously received her undergraduate degree, also from Dalhousie, with a double major in microbiology and immunology. Emma obtained her Advanced Diploma in manual and manipulative therapy in 2024 making her a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manual and Manipulative Therapists (FCAMPT)

Emma is certified in Acupuncture (CAFCI) and functional dry needling as well.

Emma was born in Aberdeen, Scotland and grew up in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates before moving to Halifax in 2002.

Outside of work, Emma loves gardening, hiking, road biking, skating. She plays ringette and has previously participated in speed skating.
